Description
My wife and I visited the North Carolina Outer Banks (May, 2019) and toured several light houses. I took many pictures for references to paint from. The Currituck was the last of the four I had planned to paint on 24 by 12 inches canvas. It took three years to finish as other art projects and shows took priority. The painting is a realistic representation using both realistic and impressionistic techniques on a gallery wrap canvas with the edges painted black. I hope you like the painting as I tried to get it as close to what I enjoyed during our trip there.
The lighthouse was a historical nautical light for ships. The top of the lighthouse has a lantern room housing the power lens to create the light beam. More information is available for the Currituck and other lighthouses on the internet.
Ships within 2-3 weeks to allow for the paint to dry. (7/30/22) If more time is needed, I will keep you informed. The painting comes ready to hang out of the box! All copy rights are observed. The copy right watermarks on the picture will not be on your painting. The painting is signed.
