Description

The Painted Bunting is painted in acrylics on a 9 inch by 12 inch by .75 inch stretched canvas.

Another name for the bird is Variable Bunting.  This colorful little bird visited our bird bath and was lucky to get a photo of him.  He has splashed the water getting a drink and is holding his head up to swallow the water droplet. The male has these bright colors during breeding season.  Buntings are a favorite for bird watchers and photographers. The painting is mounted in a repurposed frame that has a new finish with a chestnut color which harmonizes well with the painting.  The framed painting comes ready to hang out of the box and will be an eye catcher in the home or business.
